As we celebrate our 40th Anniversary, we want to extend a special congratulations to  Braun ambulance dealer and authorized service center - Penn Care, Inc. - on its 25 years in business. Located in Niles, Ohio, Penn Care, Inc. sells Braun ambulances in eastern and southwestern Ohio, western Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. Aside from carrying Braun's complete line of ambulance models, the company also has an EMS supply division, disaster response division, and software division.

Penn Care, Inc. opened its first full-line facility in Warren, Ohio on March 17, 1987. There, six employees turned out a complete line of emergency medical products and vehicles. Prior to even incorporating the company, owners Shawn Bryant and Don Bloom sold Braun ambulances. In fact, Don used to be known as the "King of Mini-Mods" - a Braun ambulance model we no longer produce. Having been first responders themselves, they had been users of the Braun product. When Don worked at Lane Funeral Homes, he operated a Type II van.

While Don and Shawn originally led the ambulance sales department, today they have the help of a knowledgeable ambulance sales team to assist them. Mike Bowman, Darryll Headley, and David Yobe cover Ohio. Jake Sauceman handles western PA. Mike Jones serves customers in Virginia, and David Yobe and Mike Bowman oversee West Virginia. Sales manager, Taylor Pease, provides management to the group.

Having sold Braun ambulances for 25 years, Penn Care has seen the leadership at Braun Industries shift from one generation to the next. They know who the owners are and they appreciate working with a family-owned business. The SolidBody Construction of the units provides a level of quality their customers demand in an ambulance, and models like the Express make it easy to find a unit that best meets a departments' needs and budget. Over the years, the dealership has won many Braun awards. Most recently in 2011, the company was honored with the Sales and Service Award for Twenty Plus Years. Don Bloom was named the Region 1 Sales Champion. Mike Bowman and Don Bloom were also awarded the Sales Commitment Award for Region 1. 

As mentioned, this year Penn Care is celebrating their 25th anniversary. As a thank you to their customers, they will have a yearlong celebration filled with contests and promotional giveaways. This includes an Ambulance Division contest that will kick off on July 1, 2012. The contest will challenge you to give your best onscreen impression of an emergency vehicles sales person by creating and submitting a short video tour of your ambulance. More details will be released on their Facebook page as the contest nears, but we'd sure love to see entries of your Braun ambulance!
