Another FDIC has passed, and we were so thrilled to be a part of it again this year! So many visitors stopped in to see us and our dealer representatives in Booth #3357. We received great feedback on our booth setup, the extra space we had this year, and the units we selected to display.

The most talked about model was the Frisco Fire Department Super Chief. The Type I ambulance is a 170” module mounted on an International 4300LP chassis. Booth visitors were able to tour the inside of the ambulance to see the custom curbside bench with storage for a LUCAS Chest Compression System, forward-facing EVS seating, Mermaid Medi-Kool saline cooler and drug cooler, and Knox MedVault narcotics locker. A big “thanks” goes out to Frisco Fire Department in Frisco, Texas for loaning us your vehicle to display!

Booth visitors were also very excited to see the new E-Z 02 Lift in action. The latest innovation from Braun debuted at the show, with a first-look given to our dealerships before the exhibit hall opened to the public. This compact oxygen cylinder lift and storage compartment utilizes a nitrogen filled gas spring to raise and lower the bottle into a stowed position. The oxygen bottle is stored on the compartment door, optimizing the interior layout and creating maximum storage space for life-saving equipment. The spring lift also helps to reduce compartment damage by carefully moving and storing the oxygen cylinders in a controlled manner. You can learn more about the E-Z 02 Lift on our website here. Those who saw it at the show liked the concept of the lift and said they were looking forward to adding the new innovation to their unit.

Throughout the course of the show, we estimated nearly 1500 people stopped into our booth, with Thursday being the busiest day. Many visitors came by to pick up a kids’ coloring pack and entry form for the 2014 Braun Family Coloring Contest, commenting on how much the idea of family resonated throughout our booth theme. Each year, FDIC is a great opportunity for us to network with our dealers and end-customers – and 2014 was no exception. We had a wonderful time catching up one-on-one in the exhibit hall, as well as outside of the convention center. It was especially great to see representatives from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, Boston EMS, City of Miami, Palm Beach Gardens, and Johnson County EMS. Thanks so much to everyone who stopped by the booth.
