It’s not all the time that we debut a new ambulance model, so when we do… it’s a really big deal! Monday marks the start of the AAA 2013 Annual Conference and Tradeshow. This year, we are using the tradeshow to introduce The Responder. Show attendees can stop by booth numbers 15 and 20 beginning Monday, November 18th to get a personal tour of the unit. This is a unique opportunity, as our demo unit just came out of production, giving booth visitors a true first look inside our latest model!
Braun Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Chad Brown, has the following to say about the release.
“We are extremely excited to release our new model, The Responder! In an effort to meet our customers’ requests, we took their input and ideas and developed this model. This model has safety, ergonomics, and new innovations built in as standard features throughout.”
The Responder is a 12.5’ module mounted on the Freightliner Sprinter chassis. Safety features include Braun’s SolidBody™ Construction, an LED Whelen warning light package, the EZ Glide™ sliding side entry door with 4” lowered entry height, an action area counter free of OEM equipment, and more.
With a strong focus on ergonomics, The Responder was designed to promote a safe and efficient work space with maximum storage. Forward facing seating options, EVS 1760 4-point curbside seating with fold-up seat cushion, door-forward design, and thoughtful cabinet locations offer more equipment storage space and make it easier to access than ever before.
The model also includes some standard innovations Braun is well-known for, such as their MasterTech IV electrical system, as well as new advancements in the EMS marketplace. The isolated 02 compartment is one such feature, and was engineered to meet upcoming changes in ambulance design mandated by NFPA 1917.
“Our newest model, The Responder, delivers a premium product in a compact design. Delivering quality is what we do…it is embedded as a core element of who we are as a family, as a business. For over forty years, Braun has been focused on building relationships with our customers, identify their needs and offering solutions that are Built For Life,” says Braun President, Kim Braun.
