Whelen & Hoseline Participating in Ambulance Service Course

September 21, 2012

Today, we are excited to announce that two more vendors have confirmed their participation in our Annual Service Instruction Course.

Whelen Engineering will be taking part in this year's class as a presenter. The company began in 1952 when George W. Whelen developed a rotating aircraft "anti-collision beacon." The original concept was expanded to create a magnetic mounted beacon used by police, public safety, fire departments, and, to convert hearses to ambulance service. Today, Whelen manufactures a wide range of audio and visual signaling devices - and let's just say that the lighting equipment for ambulance service has come a long way!

Whelen's Automotive Division focuses on producing high quality lightbars, dashlights, strobe kits, siren boxes, and other public warning systems to be mounted on or within vehicles. All of their products are manufactured in the United States. At Braun Industries, we often work with Whelen to outfit our emergency vehicles with their equipment; lighting is a huge part of what keeps our vehicles, and the precious cargo within them, safe on the road. We are very happy to have them onboard with our Annual Instruction Course. We know their presentation will be packed with great information for the attendees.

Hoseline has also committed to teaching at our service class; this will be their 3rd consecutive year joining us. Hoseline is recognized internationally for their custom design and manufacturing of A/C and heating units for emergency vehicles. Temperature control in an ambulance unit is extremely important. Every organization wants to provide the absolute best in patient care, and patient comfort is a big piece of this. Knowing how to properly maintain and service the A/C and heating unit in an ambulance is critical information we are excited to be passing on to our Instruction Course attendees with the partnership of Hoseline.

Whelen and Hoseline join a growing list of vendors that have stepped up to make our Annual Service Instruction Course an awesome event. Also participating are: Federal Signal, Weldon, Kelderman, and Vanner. We are looking forward to great presentations from them all!
