For over 40 years, Braun Industries has been serving the Fire & EMS Industry as an ambulance manufacturer. During that time, we have maintained our commitment to quality by keeping our company under family ownership and operation, and hiring the best people we can find to join us. The family culture we foster in our corporate offices and manufacturing plant is critical to our success. We want our employees to enjoy coming to work and take pride in the final product... because what we build can truly mean the difference between life and death. As more ambulance companies are consolidating and changing ownership than ever before, our first-class workforce has allowed us to continue to stay on top and deliver custom, handcrafted emergency vehicles that are truly "Built for Life." As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we thank each and every person that has ever worked at Braun Industries!
"A significant part of what makes Braun - "Braun" - is our employees." says President, Kim Braun. "THEY CARE! They participate in building the relationships with our customers and dealers. They understand the importance of our reputation and ensuring that our vehicles are Built for Life. The sense of pride and passion of our industry is extremely rewarding."

Several stories throughout our history are the best representations of our employees' dedication. In 2002, Braun Industries was devastated by an F4 tornado. The storm destroyed the plant, leaving us without power, water, or heat. In the aftermath, employees showed up not only to assist in the storm restoration, but more importantly to ensure that the three trucks we had scheduled for delivery that week still made it to the customer as promised. On another occasion, Van Wert suffered from a power outage. This forced us to cancel the work shift, but shortly thereafter the power was restored. We notified our staff that the plant now had electricity and was open to anyone that could come into work that day. We had a new potential customer in visiting the plant. The customer told us one of the most impressive things they could have seen during their visit was car after car pulling into the parking lot that morning, even after we had told our employees that we wouldn't be open.
Part of what makes our family of over 150 employees so committed to their work is their personal involvement with Fire & EMS organizations. A significant percent are active Fire & EMS volunteers with local organizations such as Scott, Grover Hill, Payne, Convoy, and Ohio City. We also seek to hire employees with key characteristics we know will contribute to their success. These include integrity, aptitude, dependability, and passion for the product. Each year, we recognize our remarkable employees with events such as an employee appreciation day and employee awards. We want to highlight their years of service, special accomplishments, and important life events such as birthdays and anniversaries.
This year, we're celebrating another milestone as it's the first time we have the 4th generation of the Braun family working at the plant. Kim Braun's son, Austin, and Scott Braun's son, Taylor, are working here for the summer months. Their entrance into the company has meant that some of our long-term employees have now worked side-by-side with all four generations! With so much ownership churn in our industry, this is just one more element that says Braun is here to say.
Thank you again to the amazing people that make up the Braun family. We couldn't do it without you!
