We have a lot of units that leave our manufacturing facility every month, each with their own customizations and client requests. However, sometimes we have a customer vehicle that's so awesome - we can't help but share all of the cool details in a featured blog post. Today, we bring you the latest addition to Guardian Medical Transport's fleet.
Guardian Medical Transport is a division of the Flagstaff Medical Center. Located in Flagstaff, AZ, the transport division serves over 6,200 square miles in Northern Arizona, from Happy Jack to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. They respond to more than 14,000 calls for service, demonstrations and stand-by support each year. They provide pre-hospital emergency medical services and non-emergent transport 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The newest emergency vehicle in Guardian Medical Transport's lineup is a Braun Super Chief Type I ambulance on a Spartan MetroStar chassis. This ambulance is the first of its kind, as it serves as a Mobile Intensive Care Unit for critical transport. The unit is a miniature hospital on wheels, working to carry critical care patients from Flagstaff Medical Center to larger hospitals in Texas and throughout the country. It will be utilized primarily in bad weather situations, etc. when air transport is not an option. The ambulance will equipped just like a life flight helicopter, including specialized equipment such as medical air, oxygen, a generator, and balloon pumps.
The unit was sold factory direct by Chad Brown, Braun Industries' Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Congratulations to Guardian Medical Transport on their new ambulance!
