Custom Emergency Vehicle for West Licking Joint Fire District

June 25, 2012

We're in the thick of "show season" here at Braun Industries, having kicked things off at FDIC 2012. At each event, we have several great ambulances on display from demos to customer units. One of those customer units worth sharing about is the Super Chief Type I ambulance delivered to West Licking Joint Fire District.

Located in Pataskala, Ohio, West Licking Joint Fire District worked with Mike Bowman of Penn Care to design their newest emergency vehicle. The box was  built on a 2013 International 4300 chassis. The module of the ambulance features some unique customizations including a MedVault®, IV warmer, custom squad bench, slide-out doors, wider CPR seat, refrigerator, and more. All of these design features are focused on making it easier and safer for West Licking's crew to care for their patients by having everything they need accessible from a seated position.

Penn Care has put together a great video highlighting this unit. Mike Bowman provides a narrated tour of the ambulance inside and out, stopping to point out all the thoughtful design elements worthy of a second look.
