Important Things to Know About Your Ambulance Warranty

November 12, 2013

One of the most important factors to consider when purchasing a new ambulance is the warranty that comes with it. We keep a complete copy of our warranty on our website for public review, but think it is worthwhile to share some of the highlights here on our blog. Recently, we sat down with Braun Service Manager, Jeff Holtzclaw to discuss the Braun Warranty. Here are informational questions and answers from him to help you learn more about our warranty and claims process.

What are some key features of Braun’s Warranty?

1. The Lifetime Structural Warranty is transferable to future owners.
2.  The 7 year electrical warranty covers all wiring, terminals, and connections, both parts and labor; while components having their own manufacturers warranty are covered by that manufacturer’s  warranty.
3. Our Graphics Warranty is for a length of 3 years and covers replacement and installation as needed.

What should you do when you have a warranty-related repair?

The first point of contact should always be your local dealer. They are well versed in our warranty claims process and will guide you through it step by step. They will ensure the warranty is properly referenced and the correct information is provided to us to set expectations and follow through on repair.

Where do you recommend storing your warranty?

We advise you keep a copy in the vehicle and its delivery manual. Braun will also provide an electronic delivery manual upon receipt of the unit; a full copy should be downloaded onto the Service Tech’s computer for easy viewing of all the included documents, not just the warranty portion. The dealership you purchased your unit from should also keep a copy of the electronic file on record for reference and future service needs.

How do you process claims at Braun Industries?

Our warranty claims go through an electronic submission process. This method allows for quick processing, with an approximate cycle of 20 days from submission to reimbursement. We have a 95% approval rating for submitting claims.

At Braun Industries, we are proud to say that we have one of the lowest warranty claim rates in the industry. When manufacturing our units, we stand behind our tagline “Built for Life.” We know that while we cannot foresee all issues with an emergency vehicle, we can be ready to serve you when you need it with a comprehensive warranty claims process, knowledgeable Service Department, and committed dealer network dedicated keeping you up and running!
